The dosage

Traditional Chinese Medicine(TKM) has a long history that goes back thousands of years and is becoming more and more popular in Slovenia and Europe in recent years. TCM as an alternative medicine has been shown to be effective for many conditions in both humans and animals.
Chinese herbsare a central treatment approach to correct imbalances. They can be used to treat most medical conditions recognized by conventional medicine. They can be used alone or in combination with other therapies for an enhanced and synergistic effect. Often, Chinese herbalism and conventional medicine can be used interchangeably.
Applied use of TKM herbs in pets
In general, TCM herbal prescriptions must be prescribed for a longer period of time than pharmaceutical drugs, but the benefit lies in their natural ability to gradually return the body to a state of balance and health. Herbs must be given regularly two to three times a day, just like conventional medicines, in order to see a healing effect. Clinical results from the use of TKM herbs can be seen in as little as 3 days, but some animals require up to 6 months, depending on the formulation, for full effect.

As a general rule, the longer an animal has suffered from a particular medical condition, the longer it will take to resolve.
In general, acute conditions require doses that are larger by weight. Chronic conditions respond better to lower doses given over a longer period of time. We recommend starting with smaller doses for pets and increasing over time if no side effects are present and if a low dose does not have the desired results. By the standards of Chinese herbalism, these lower limit doses are really small. Although it is perfectly safe to increase them, we believe that the goal of treatment should be to administer the lowest possible dose that will show the desired results.

A horse prone to cough and hoarseness in autumn. His condition could lead to a runny nose if not treated quickly enough. He started the therapy at the beginning of summer with one teaspoon of the herb twice a day. They continued with it even through the dusty autumn to strengthen resistance. She has been cough and cold free since starting this routine.
Labrador, 5 years old, sudden onset of vomiting and weakness. The vet suspected a foreign body in the intestines and therefore operated on him, but found nothing. After the operation, he was tired and constipated, so the owner asked for strengthening herbs for him. Now he is back to normal, a healthy and happy dog.
