Disease conditions that can be treated with TCM
The Acupuncture Evidence Project examined the effectiveness of acupuncture in 122 treatments in 14 clinical areas. Some evidence of an effect was found in 117 conditions. "Our study found evidence for the effectiveness of acupuncture for 117 conditions, with the evidence for the effectiveness of acupuncture being stronger for some conditions than others. Acupuncture is considered safe in the hands of a well-trained practitioner and has been shown to be cost-effective for some conditions. Quality and the amount of research on the effectiveness of acupuncture is increasing." Acupuncture Evidence Project, p. 55.
